CLARK FREEPORT – Agents of the Anti-Cybercrime Group of the Philippine National Police raided last Wednesday three offices of a call center agency here for alleged involvement in scam.
Four Israelis and at least 400 employees were rounded up during the raid at the Berthaphil Business Center here, a report from the Clark Development Corp. (CDC) said. The report said the raid was based on a search warrant issued by a court relative to an estafa case.
The raided agency has been operating here for two years now, the report added.
The foreigners and employees were taken in buses and brought to Camp Crame yesterday.
The raiding cops also confiscated computers of the company for investigation.
Details on the raid were not immediately available but relatives of employees said they were under the impression that the firm endorses various products via phone and internet.
