Cop in NY shooting faces double frustrated homicide charges

CABANATUAN CITY — A Camp Crame-based policeman was arrested for allegedly shooting and wounding two persons in Barangay Aduas Centro here at 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 1.

Police identified the suspect as Pat. Andres Quibuyen III, a resident of the said village detailed at the police’s integrity monitoring and enforcement group (IMEG) in Camp Crame.

The victims, identified as Arapat Pandodum, 26, and Salman Mama, 28, of Muslim compound in Barangay Rizdelis this city, were being treated in a local hospital, police said.

Responding policemen seized from the suspect an unspecified service firearm.

“Initial investigation revealed the suspect who is under the influence of intoxicating liquor shot the victims with the use of a short firearm,” police reported.

Charges of double frustrated homicide were filed against the suspect before the city prosecutor’s office.
