CLARK FREEPORT— Clark’s rise as a key hub for housing and infrastructure development was underscored at the recent Chamber of Real Estate and Builders Association (CREBA) 29th Chapter Chartering and Induction Rites, held at the Royce Hotel in Clark on July 27.
Speaking at the ceremony, Clark Development Corporation (CDC) President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera detailed the Freeport’s strategic advantages and its growing role as a prime location for real estate ventures.
“It seems that all roads lead to Clark. With our beautiful airport, major road networks, and bridge crossings within Region 3, Clark is perfectly positioned for growth. Soon, a train will connect directly to Clark, enhancing travel further. Imagine check-in counters located remotely in Metro Manila, with travelers boarding trains to Clark International Airport—this is the dynamism we envision,” Atty. Devanadera said.
Clark drives its growth with the ongoing construction of the Clark Multi-Specialty Medical Center, expansion of branded hotels, and establishment of the National Museum of the Philippines – Clark. The new motorsport museum, retail spaces, curated restaurants on Cardinal Santos Street, and upgraded playgrounds further elevate the area’s significance.
The CDC chief also announced the CDC’s housing initiatives in partnership with the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), in alignment with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s priority projects.
“Our initial housing project focuses on an 8-hectare area as outlined in our Memorandum of Understanding with DHSUD. We are also planning a larger 50-hectare development to accommodate about 40,000 units,” she explained.
Atty. Devanadera further emphasized the government’s focus on creating integrated townships rather than just individual buildings or high-rises.
“We are excited to collaborate with CREBA, whose members have been instrumental in developing these concepts,” she added.
She praised CREBA for choosing “Home for Every Filipino” as the event’s theme and reiterated the commitment to achieving the goal of one million housing units annually under the PBBM administration.
“We are committed to addressing this need and pushing for its realization,” she affirmed.
CREBA – Clark International Chapter President Engr. Mario Alzona outlined the organization’s plans to address housing challenges by establishing 100 CREBA chapters nationwide. This initiative aims to drive the construction of 1.25 million houses annually and create approximately 450,000 jobs.
The event concluded with discussions on future initiatives, including a proposed housing fair and a business-to-business (B2B) forum to foster collaboration between developers and stakeholders.
