ANGELES CITY- Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan led the formal opening of classes and the welcoming of new students at the City College of Angeles (CCA) on Monday, here.

Members of the school administration warmly welcomed the mayor despite the continuous rains brought by the Southwest Monsoon.

During Monday’s flag raising rites at the college campus, CCA President Dr. Richard Daenos said that the college is now offering four (4) additional courses this new academic year, which include, Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Psychology, Performing Arts, and English Language Studies.

“We redound to our commitment of providing the best learning opportunity for every Angeleños through the offering of various programs that are market- driven and are beneficial to the community,” the college president said.

According to the data released by the college registrar’s office, there are a total of 2,129 students admitted for the first semester of academic year 2018-2019.

All students are enjoying free tuition fees granted under Republic Act 10931 otherwise known as the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education.

Moreover, Daenos said “there is more to come for CCA” as it inks academic partnerships with various government and non-government agencies to develop its quality of instruction and teaching mechanisms.

Just recently, the college signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with organizations such as the Department of Asian American Studies in the University of California (UC) Davis, Sinukwan Kapampangan Center for the Arts, Angeles City Tourism Office, Public Employment Service Office, and Angeles City Youth Development Office, among others.
