CLARK FREEPORT — Christmas came early for employees of the Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) as the management released their year-end bonuses and cash gift on Monday, November 15.
The 114 regular employees received their year-end bonus equivalent to one month of their basic salary and a cash gift of Php5,000.
The grant of the year-end bonus is in accordance with Republic Act (RA) 6686, as amended by RA 8441, and Department of Budget Management Circular 2016-4.
“The year-end bonuses and cash gift is our way of expressing gratitude to CIAC employees who, despite the still continuing COVID-19 pandemic, continue to work to provide the much-needed service to the public,” CIAC President and CEO Aaron Aquino said.
Samahan ng mga Manggagawa sa DMIA (SMD) President Dennis Lumanlan expressed the union’s gratitude for the release of the incentives.
The SMD is the duly-recognized workers’ union at CIAC.
“From the rank and file employees comprising the labor union, thank you to the CIAC management for the release of their benefits as this will boost our morale amid the pandemic,” Lumanlan said.
