ARIANA GRANDE’S song became the favorite New Year message/hashtag of local celebrities, such as Angelica Panganiban.

Aside of course from “Happy New Year” and “Welcome 2019,” another line became famous on Instagram, with a number of celebrities quoting it in their captions.

It didn’t come as a surprise that Angelica Panganiban used it since she was at a crossroads in 2018.

The Kapamilya actress was heartbroken in the beginning, but had a not-so-bad ending.

She wrote: “Thank you, next” The line is the title of Ariana Grande’s song and also of her fifth studio album.

Meanwhile, is Sunshine Dizon ready to love again two years since she and her husband Timothy Tan separated?

In her latest interview she was quoted saying…

“Parang ayoko rin naman na alisin sa sarili ko na baka may chance rin ako, di ba?”

It was also the New Year post of young star Bianca Umali.

Bea Alonzo, who welcomed 2019 in Niseko, Japan, used it as a hashtag.

Dear 2018,

You have been a roller coaster ride. You brought tears to my eyes, you opened new doors and taught me so much. But most importantly, you made me realize my worth. Thank you for all these trials that only made me stronger. Because of these, I was able to appreciate the things that really matter and the people to cherish. I will always remember you as my best teacher. Salamat.”

Love, Phylbert [Bea’s real name]

DEPARTMENT of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Teodoro “Teddy” Locsin Jr. shared his thoughts about Tony Labrusca’s immigration issue on his Twitter account last Thursday, January 3. The DFA Chief tweeted that the Kapamilya actor should just be deported.

Very recently, Tony Labrusca, became famous on all social media after shouting and cursing a superior immigration officer of the NAIA Terminal, when the former came back to the Philippines from Canada.

The issue came to Mr. Locsin through Twitter and the DFA Secretary.

This was Teddy Locsin’s tweet (as published) “Just deport him” Meanwhile, Tony issued a public apology to the superior immigration officer, also, through his social media account.

“I want to extend my sincerest apology to the superior Immigration Officer (I.O.) who was on duty and I had a talk with yesterday morning, 03 Jan 2019.

“After lining up and crossing the immigration, I went up to the superior IO and we ended up going inside an enclosed space inside her office to discuss privately.

“I admit I was a bit frustrated and that I asked why I was only given 30 days to stay in the country this time. I was unaware of the policy that because I was not with my mother, I did not qualify for a Balikbayan stamp.

“It was very upsetting for me. And I’m sorry that I somehow took my frustrations out on the Officer.

“But never did I ever call anyone stupid, nor an idiot much less brag about being a celebrity.

“I know for a fact that the officer is merely doing her job. My biggest mistake perhaps was letting my emotions get the better of me and again I’m sorry.

“It was a long flight from Canada and while it is not a perfect excuse, I would like to start this year fresh both in my life and the people I’ve encountered with. Once again, I am deeply sorry for my reaction.—Tony Labrusca.”

Tony is a Filipino actor and model, whose “Tuloy Pa Rin” McDonald’s ad went viral in 2016.

He recently made waves with his daring movie with veteran actress Angel Aquino entitled “Glorious.” T

he actor was also a cast member of the Kapamilya teleserye “La Luna Sangre.”
