CLARK FREEPORT — The Clark Development Corp. enhanced its regular monitoring of drainage systems and previously identified flood-prone areas on Nov. 9, as part of its ongoing preparedness measures for Typhoon Uwan.
In a report submitted to CDC president and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera, the areas inspected included J. Abad Santos–C.M. Recto corner M.A. Roxas, the upgraded outfall at M.A. Roxas–Bonifacio Avenue (also known as “Bloody Ditch”), Friendship Underpass, and Old Sacobia Bridge.
Engineering services vice president Engr. Teresito Tiotuyco led site inspections, joined by personnel from the CDC’s health and sanitation, public safety, and corporate planning divisions, and on-duty fire and traffic teams.
A tree clearing team has been prepositioned to respond to fallen debris along major roads and utility corridors according to Engr. Erwin Bognot, manager of environmental permits division.
CDC’s Integrated Command Center continues to monitor freeport-wide CCTV feeds under the supervision of public safety division manager retired Col. Herbert Angeles, ensuring real-time coordination and situational awareness.
