PILAR, Bataan – – Elements of the Bataan Provincial Highway Patrol Team on Monday arrested in Barangay Ala-uli here a carnapping suspect listed as No. 5 Most Wanted Person of the Regional Highway Patrol Unit 3.
In his report to RHPU-3 chief Col. Roldan N. Luna, Bataan CHPT head Captain Marlon Agno identified the suspect as Jaypee Antonio y Gamboa, 32, of Barangay Alas-asin, Mariveles town.
Report said that the tracker team of Bataan PHPT led by Captain Allan A. Morales, together with EMS Aurelio S. Ballesteros, SMS Joel C. Catamin and SSgt Christopher G. Amistoso and personnel of the provincial intelligence unit led by MSgt Beny E. Niervo conducted joint manhunt operation that resulted to the arrest of suspect by virtue of warrant of arrest issued on Dec. 2, 2021 by Presiding Judge Jose Marie Arzadon Quimboy of RTC Branch 94, Mariveles, Bataan for violation of RA 10883 (New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016) under Criminal Case No. ML-8348 with recommended bail of P300,000.
The successful operation stemmed from the information given by a barangay information network informant that the suspect was sighted Along J.J Linao Road, Barangay Ala-uli.
Suspect now under the custody of Bataan PHPT office.
