CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Bills payment while under enhanced community quarantine

Don’t worry.

The provincial government asked public utility companies in Pampanga to consider delaying the deadline on payment of bills of their consumers until the ECQ is lifted.

Public utilities include electricity, water, internet and cable television.

“I issued an executive order which prohibits the billing and disconnection as long as we are under the ECQ. Services such as electricity, water, internet and others must continue,” Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda said in a recorded video message posted online.

Ordinance No. 755 Series of 2020, which is in accordance with Resolution No. 6102 states that “cutting or disconnection of electric power, water, telephone connections, and other essential public utilities by any person, entities, or public utility companies during the duration or period of the state of public health emergency, state of calamity, and enhanced community quarantine is prohibited.”

Pineda also warned that companies found to have been violating the said order will be penalized or given the corresponding sanctions.

ECQ, meant to curb the rising number of cases of the COVID-19 pandemic, is implemented in the entire island of Luzon from March 17 to April 13.
