According to Provincial Population Officer Rose Butiu, this July will be filled with activities designed to promote the theme “Healthy Diet Gawing Habit for Life” that aims to support a healthy lifestyle through the consumption of healthful and nutritious foods.
“The Kapampangan are encouraged to eat a balanced diet with a variety of food in right proportions to maintain an ideal body and prevent obesity”, she said.
She also mentioned that this is a great opportunity to know more about choosing the right kind of food.
She stressed that eating in moderation should be practiced to acquire nutrients needed by the body.
The celebration of Nutrition Month is with accordance to the Presidential Decree 491 or the Nutrition Act of the Philippines signed on June 25, 1974.
