Capitol grants P7 million cash to daycare workers

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The Pampanga Government granted yesterday a total of P7 million cash or P10, 500 each to some 671 daycare workers of the province during the Daycare Workers Assembly held at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center.

Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda supervised the distribution together with 1st District Board Member Cherry Manalo, chairperson of Women and Family Committee, Pampanga Councilors League President Fritzie David-Dizon, 3rd District Board Member Rosve Henson and 2nd District Board Member Anthony Joseph Torres.

The assembly is composed of 95 daycare workers from 1st district while, 210 came from 2nd district, 194 from 3rd district and 175 residing from 4th district.

In a brief speech, Vice-Governor Pineda recognized the sincerity of daycare workers in showing concern and affection to kindergartens and tots adding that they take part in the progress of children in their development.

He also cited the support given by daycare workers in rendering assistance within short notice to those affected by typhoons during calamities.

Pineda likewise vowed to augment the benefi ts of daycare workers if elected governor of the province in the coming 2019 election.

The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) staff also assisted during the distribution of food packs and rice.

On the same event, elected officials of the National Federation of Daycare Workers of the Philippines Incorporated Pampanga Chapter took their oath during the assembly.
