CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — A total of 387 students graduated from the Technical-Vocational Program of the Pampanga Provincial Government on June 29, after completing various skills training courses conducted by the Provincial Manpower Training Center (PMTC) under the Pampanga Public Employment Service Office.
Each graduate received P2,000 in financial assistance from Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Vice Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda.
According to the PMTC, the roll of graduates comprised Housekeeping NC II, 113 graduates; Automotive NC II, 64; Electrical Installation and Maintenance, 44; Electronic Production Assembly, 15; Solar Installation, 31; Domestic Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Servicing, 14; Massage Therapy/Hilot Wellness Massage, 43; Hairdressing, 21; Dressmaking/Tailoring, seven; and English Language and Call Center Training, 35.
The graduates undertook community-based training in their respective municipalities and barangays, as well as at the PMTC training facility in Sto. Tomas, Pampanga, where they acquired practical skills for employment and entrepreneurship. The training programs lasted from 20 days to six months.
“Sana makatulong ang training na ito sa inyo. Kung kulang pa, sana magsumikap kayo na talagang matuto pa. Gumawa kayo ng paraan para mas ma-improve pa ang skills ninyo. Kahit graduate na kayo, bukas pa rin ang pintuan ng Kapitolyo kung kailangan ninyo ng tulong,” enthused Gov. Pineda.
The PMTC said nearly all graduates have already secured employment or started their own livelihood ventures using the skills they gained from the program.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the provincial government for providing free technical and vocational training, as well as the additional financial assistance that will help them start or sustain their source of income. Pampanga PIO/Photos: Gerald Gloton, Daniel Ombina
