Binay gives COLA to Arsenal workers

    LIMAY, Bataan- Vice-Pres. Jejomar Binay on Saturday handed over 362 Certificates of Lot Award to workers of the Department of National Defense Arsenal and members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines assigned in Lamao, Limay, Bataan.

    He promised that the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council that he chairs will release more certificates to complete the beneficiaries in 30 hectares of the 370-hectare Arsenal property.

    The vice-president said the processing of the documents took 10 years. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources made the topographic survey while HUDCC released P1 million to fund the survey.

    He promised to speed-up the housing project through the partnership of HUDCC and Pag-IBIG Fund. Before the awarding of the certificates, Binay offered a wreath at the monument of Gen. Antonio Luna where he was given gun salute.

    He also toured the museum where on display are various types of rifles. DND Asst. Sec. Efren Fernandez, Arsenal Director Jonathan Martir, Limay Mayor Virgilio Roque and other DND officials welcomed the vice-president.
