Big time drug peddlers, 6 others arrested

     CABANATUAN CITY – Eight people, including two alleged big time drugs peddlers, were arrested in an anti-illegal drugs raid in a rented house in a subdivision in Barangay Sumacab Este here early morning Saturday.

    Senior Insp. Ariel Enriquez, head of the police team from the provincial police office, identified the suspects as Darwin Capati, 38, a resident of 806 Sunrise Subd and Jennylyn Yumang,23, both of Bantug Norte; Reniel Reyes, 28, Frederick Jerry Torres, 28 and Armando Lucido,Jr., 29, all of Barangay Camp Tinio; Diego Garcia, 30, of Barangay Barrera; Juvy Bernal,30, of Primavera Homes; all of this city and Manuel Graneta, 32, of Poblacion, Gen. Natividad, Nueva Ecija.

    Enriquez said the suspects were apprehended at about 2 a.m. at Primavera Homes Subd., Sumacab Este here in the act of having a pot session right after a policemen poseur-buyer was able to buy two sachets of suspected shabu from Capati and Lucido.

    Police said Capati was to be arrested from a SUV (RKH-890) but he ran toward his rented house, prompting lawmen to discover the on-going pot session in the place.

    Operatives recovered from the suspects a total of 12 sachets of suspected shabu, drugs paraphernalia and P2,000 marked money, Enriquez said.

    Lucido also yielded a hand grenade, police said.
