BIG BIKE-BUS HEAD-ON COLLISION

    BALANGA CITY – A motorcycle rider was seriously injured when the big bike he was driving crashed into an incoming passenger bus at the junction of the Roman Superhighway and the 4-lane road in Balanga City Sunday evening.

    PO2 Christopher Baun, Balanga City police investigator, said Benjamin “Carlo” Aguilar, 28, of barangay Tenejero here, was rushed to the Bataan General Hospital but immediately transferred to the St. Joseph Hospital.

    An attending physician at the St. Joseph Hospital said the victim who was in comatose was moved right away to the James Gordon Memorial Hospital in Olongapo City to undergo neuro-surgery.

    Aguilar, a former security guard, sustained severe head and body injuries. His big bike was totally wrecked after hitting the front bumper of the passenger bus.

    Reports showed that victim on board the motorcycle was heading towards the North direction when the incoming passenger bus of the Genesis Transport Services made a left turn from the Roman Superhighway to the 4-lane road in barangay Tuyo in Balanga.

    The bus driven by Edwin Aldreen San Pedro of Barangay Camacho, Balanga bound for its terminal in the city just came from their garage, a few meters away from the site of the accident

    The big bike traveling on the right lane then hit the front bumper of the bus making a left turn.
