BALANGA City, Bataan: Gov. Jose Enrique Garcia 3rd on Thursday urged Bataeños to again use face masks with the report that the number of cases of the coronavirus disease in the country continues to rise.
Covid- 19 cases in Bataan is still at low risk but the governor asked his constituents to protect themselves to avoid the spread of the deadly disease and infecting one another.
Garcia said that the rise in Covid cases in the country might have been caused by the crowding of people while in celebration of the Christmas holidays.
“Sundin muli ang minimum health protocols katulad ng pagsusuot ng face mask na may maayos na lapat sa mga matataong lugar at mga health facilities, paghuhugas ng kamay, at pag-iwas sa mga lugar na matao at walang sapat na bentilasyon,” the governor said.
The wearing of face masks is especially recommended for senior citizens, immuno –
compromised, symptomatic, those with comorbidities and pregnant women.
Latest report as of December 29, 2023 showed that there are 57 active Covid – 19 cases in Bataan with 18 asymptomatic, 37 mild and two moderate cases.
