BALANGA CITY — The Bataan Police Provincial Office continued to rank No. 1 in the Unit Performance Evaluation Rating (UPER) of the Police Regional Office 3 in the City of San Fernando.
Bataan police director Col. Romell A. Velasco announced Thursday that Bataan PPO is still leading in UPER for the month of January 2023, a feat it has attained for five consecutive months since September 2022.
He said that the performance of the provincial police offices in Region 3 are being evaluated monthly based on police community relations, human resource and doctrine development, intelligence, operations, investigation, plans, research, logistics, information and communications technology, personnel management and finance.
To be always ready and alert in performing its mandate, the Bataan police conducted Wednesday its weekly enhanced managing police operation (EMPO) attended by staff officers, chiefs of police from 11 towns and a city and force commanders.
“The EMPO is an enhanced anti-criminality and law enforcement activity of the Philippine National Police targeted towards reduction and prevention of eight focus and other prevalent crimes to sustain peace and orderliness in the province of Bataan,” Velasco explained.
The PD also reported Bataan PPO’s accomplishment report for January 30 to February 5, 2023 on the illegal drug trade with 1.5405 grams of shabu seized in three operations that led to the arrest of five suspects.
“Team Bataan PPO will continue doing and giving their best in preserving the peace and order of the province, thereby ensuring its continuous economic growth and success,” Velasco said while congratulating the men and women of the provincial police.
