Bataan police holds modified handgun marksmanship training

BALANGA CITY –The Bataan Police Provincial Office here started Wednesday its five-day handgun proficiency training at the Mt. Samat firing range in Barangay Diwa in historic Pilar town.

Col. Romell Velasco, Bataan police director, led the opening ceremony of the simultaneous modified handgun marksmanship training under phases I, II and III facilitated by the human resource and doctrine development branch of the Bataan PPO.

Team leaders and members of different units under the Bataan police attended the opening ceremony.

“This training will serve as the regular firearms proficiency training program for the uniformed personnel of the Bataan PPO aimed to standardize, develop, increase, and sustain the level of confidence and proficiency of all uniformed personnel in the use of issued short firearms and to enhance the individual skills on shooting and defense tactics of PNP personnel,” Velasco said.
