IT TOOK five years for Angel Locsin before she could do a teleserye.

She volunteered to become the villain in the said Pinoy Superhero on ABS-CBN, however the network disapproves of the idea.

Angel wasn’t able to push through with the project after she developed a disc bulge in her spine.

Liza Soberano was chosen as her replacement.

Even before ABS-CBN announced that Angel will play the role of Darna, she already thought about turning down the lead role.

In fact, she actually considered playing the character of Valentina, Darna’s arch-nemesis.

Her new Kapamilya series, The General’s Daughter, now requires her to do action stunts.

Angel disclosed that her physical therapists allowed her to do these stunts as long as she is very careful.

Why did she decide to do an action-drama series even though she might develop problems again with her back?

Speaking about her lovelife, Angel feels that her current boyfriend Neil Arce is a good influence to her.

It was in 2017 when the news came out that Angel is dating Neil. However, the relationship became official only in February of 2018.

She admits that her 2018 became even better because of Neil.

“Iba kasi pag yung tao, he’s very secured.

Wala.

“’Gusto mong gawin?

Malaking bagay yun.”

Also, angel mentioned that their relationship is smooth because they were good friends before becoming officially on.

“Si Neil, seven, eight years kaming magbarkada bago napunta sa ibang chapter.

“So siguro, wala na kaming, alam mo yun, ‘Uy, ito yung first time kong di nagme-make up sa kanya.’

“Wala na kaming ganung moment. So, kumportable kami.”

Are there anymore “best foot forward” in their relationship?

“Wala!

Any wedding plans in the near future?

“Liligawan ko pa, try ko! Kung sagutin niya ako…”
