Trenta’y siyete anyos na Griyego pala’ng isang taong nang karelasyon ni Ai Ai Delas Alas. “Buti na lang masarap sumakay sa Etihad. “Kasi puwede kang matulog habang nasa biyahe. Hindi mo mararamdaman na bumibiyahe ka.”
The trip was all worth it. Beside seeing the guy, she enjoyed winter in Europe. So, how was her Greek lover?
“Ay, dalagang Pilipina ako,” she exclaimed. “Walang ganyan.”

“Wala, sabi lang niya, ‘yung tattoo ko sa butt ko na hindi pa tapos, ipatapos ko raw. Maganda raw.”

Now back in Manila, their only contact is through the Internet. “Salamat sa Skype,” she said with a laugh.
Meanwhile, aside from doing soaps for ABS-CBN and preparing for her Valentine concert, her dream to build a shelter for homeless people in Tondo will soon be realized. Through her MEDA (Martina Eileen De las Alas) Foundation, she is building Bubong ni Maria near the Tondo church, with the help of Father Eric Santos (a namesake of the singer). “It’s a temporary shelter for people who have no place to stay in for the night, like the one in the Will Smith movie, The Pursuit of Happyness.”
Well, it seems Ai Ai is successful in her own pursuit of happiness.
