Mariveles, Bataan— The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan, in coordination with the Land Transportation Office, has conducted a meeting to discuss plans for a road safety seminar for public utility vehicle drivers operating within the Freeport Area of Bataan.

The meeting served as a platform for both agencies to explore collaborative initiatives aimed at promoting road safety, strengthening transport regulations, and improving public transportation services within the freeport.

The proposed seminar seeks to raise awareness among PUV drivers on the importance of responsible driving and road safety practices, particularly in ensuring the welfare of workers and commuters who rely on public transportation daily.

During the discussion, the agencies also tackled AFAB’s regulatory functions concerning transportation within the freeport, along with potential partnerships for future programs and projects designed to enhance mobility and promote a safer, more efficient transport system.

Through this initiative, AFAB and the LTO aim to strengthen inter-agency cooperation and advance efforts to protect the commuting public while supporting the orderly and efficient movement of people within the Freeport Area of Bataan.

The planned road safety seminar underscores the importance of collaboration between government agencies in addressing transportation concerns and fostering a culture of road safety among public utility vehicle drivers.
