The warmth of the season is definitely here as SM City Tarlac showcases its very own artistic wooden Christmas tree!
The ceremonial lighting of the magnificent Christmas display signals #SMallidays at SM City Tarlac on November 7, 2020 which is open for viewing and photo until January 6, 2021.
2020 has been a challenging year, not just for us Filipinos, but to everyone around the world. And SM, being one of the focal venues for Christmas festivities, assures its shoppers that they will still feel the warmth and happiness of a perfect Christmas, dahil ngayong Pasko, sama-sama tayo sa SM Supermalls.
With that, this year’s Christmas Display sparks hope as it takesinspiration from the mythical creature – the Phoenix – this year’s centerpiece goes beyond aesthetics as it delves into meaningful Tarlaqueño indigeneity and resiliency.
The 20-foot red centerpiece with inner lighting resembles the fiery yet majestic description of the Phoenix. Like Tarlaqueños, they rise beyond any struggles and remain hopeful despite the uncertainties even amidst a global adversity.
Highlighting the Tarlaqueño craftsmanship, the Christmas tree also showcases the outstanding wood craft industry in the province. With its puzzle-like pieces pierced together, it gives a traditional yet a modern touch of the Christmas tree.
More than the magic and sparkles, Christmas is also about sharing. Ms. Charlene B. Chua, SM City Tarlac Assistant Mall Manager, encourages shoppers to nominate a frontliner through #ShareHopeWithSM Promo and give their modern day hero a chance to win SM gift certificates. And to share their blessing by purchasing SM Bears of Joy where they can buy a pair of toy bears for P200 – they can keep one and the other will be donated to mall’s chosen charity.
Tarlac City Tourism Council Chairman Mr. Emerson Sicangco graced the event, along with Mr. Nigel Cokiangco and Ms. Gillen Melendez from Tarlac Provincial Tourism Office.
The pre-evening celebration is made even more special with the special participation of talented vlogger, model, & social media influencer Ms. Ralphe Austria.
Yuletide season is indeed finally here and everyone welcomes it to their homes. This year’s Christmas may be far from how we imagined it to be but if we continue to help and uplift each other in this time of adversity, we will be able to bounce back better and stronger together. After all, Christmas season is and will always be the most wonderful time of the year.
