Catriona Gray’s now-iconic “Lava Walk” has become a pageant sensation. At the recently-concluded Miss Intercontinental 2018 grand coronation, local pageant fans spotted two candidates attempting to perform their own take on Miss Universe 2018’s pasarela.

Netizens have already made comments on Miss Vietnam, Ngan Anh Au Le, who nearly replicated Catriona’s evening gown performance from Miss Universe 2018.

One pageant fan asked, “Is it ‘inspired’ or ‘imitated’?”

Another fan pointed out that Miss Thailand, Ingchanok Prasart, who stepped out before Miss Vietnam during the evening gown round, seemed to have also been inspired by Catriona’s “Lava Walk.”

This time, the Thai beauty queen appeared to try her own version of the slow-mo turn.

On Instagram, the comedian posted a black-and-white photo while doing the “Battle of the Brainless” segment of the show.

Michael V. co-stars withl Ignacio, Gelli de Belen, Ogie Alcasid, and Carmina Villarroel.

Michael V., also known as Bitoy in showbiz circles, wrote,

“March 12, 1994. Brainless and proud of it!

“Bago naging #PepitoManaloto, #TropangTrumpo dati ang Sabado ko. Sino nakaka-alala nito?”

“Battle of the Brainless” is one of the popular segments in Tropang Trumpo, which is a parody of RPN-9’s game show, Battle of the Brains.

Pepito Manaloto is Michael V.’s weekly sitcom on GMA-7.

Tropang Trumpo was a comedy gag show aired in ABC-5 (now TV5) from March 12, 1994 to March 13, 1999.

In mid-1995, Michael V. and Ogie left the show to join GMA-7’s then-new gag show, Bubble Gang, which is still airing on the Kapuso Network.
