SAMAL, Bataan — The annual Brigada Eskwela kicked off Monday in public elementary schools in Bataan like in the Samal South Central School in Barangay Santa Lucia here.
Some fathers of children armed with hammer and saw repaired school desks while others trimmed the plants and cut grasses.
A group was installing roofing in the front portion of a classroom.
Mothers, on the other hand, cleaned the windows of classrooms with the help of children. Some swept the school ground.
Some teachers assessed the qualification of children entering the first grade.
Early in the morning, teachers and parents attended a short program in the school’s covered court.
