VM Aro inducts Manila Times’ Hernandez as TPRC prexy

TARLAC City Vice Mayor Genaro “Aro” Mendoza administered the oath of office of newly elected Tarlac Press and Radio Club (TPRC) president Jerry Hernandez in a simple ceremony held last November 3 at the Radyo Pilipino conference room.

Hernandez, a city government employee and a correspondent of the Manila Times said in his acceptance speech that he will do his best to serve the community by making sure that what is printed and aired by the members of the TPRC are factual.

“I will continue the legacy of TRPC and make sure that our members will only print and air factual and reliable news for the benefit of our readers, listeners and viewers,” he said adding that his one-year term will be simple but meaningful.

Hernandez succeeded three-term president and radio broadcaster Marilyn “Leng” Lopez-Tiamzon.

Aside from Hernandez, Mendoza likewise administered the oath of office of TPRC vice president Reglendor Puno, secretary Ronald Dizon, treasurer Maricon Roque, assistant treasurer Kathleen Garcia, auditor Gina Hapitan, public relations officer Rex Abagat, business manager Billy Nuqui and board of directors Arvin Ferdinand Cabalu, Alicia Frio, Ana Galanga, Alfredo Fausto, Menchie Hernandez, Marisa Abagat, Ana Leah Constantino, Erlito Duduaco, Leandro Alborote, Dina Diaz, William Santos, Jay Austria, Aser Bulanadi, Ruben Pascual Jr. and Tiamzon.

The Tarlac Sangguniang Panlungsod passed Resolution No. IX-29-431 conveying warm congratulations to Hernandez and the officers and board of directors of the TPRC.

TPRC, established in 1964, is the biggest and oldest media organization in Tarlac province.
