OLONGAPO CITY — Joint elements of Zambales Provincial Highway Patrol Team and Olongapo City Police Office arrested a man for possession of illegal drug after he was flagged down at the Baloy checkpoint along National Higway Barangay Barretto here on Sept. 16.
PHPT officer Major Lester P. Zafra identified the suspect as Albert Dulay y Gusi, 26, of Purok 4, Barangay San Jose, Dinalupihan, Bataan.
Driving a kolong-kolong without a plate number, Dulay was flagged down at the checkpoint where Zafra, along with city mobile force company chief Capt. Jose Pacampara Jr. Il and Police Station 6 commander Capt. Melchor Catigday were conducting anti-carnapping operations.
The suspect reportedly discretely dropped a sachet containing shabu but was noticed by Capt. Christopher Pulgan, prompting to arrest the suspect. The recovered sachet contained shabu weighing 0.04 gram valued at P300.
Dulay was brought to Police Station 6 to face charges for violation of Section 11 of RA 9165 before the Olongapo City Prosecutors Office.
