P400-K shabu, gun seized in Limay

LIMAY, Bataan — Police arrested a suspected illegal drug trader who was caught in possession of shabu worth P400,000 and a handgun with ammunitions in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Duale here night of Wednesday, Sept. 13. 

Major Dennis Duran, Limay police chief, said the 43-year-old male suspect is from Barangay Layac in Dinalupihan, Bataan. 

Operatives from the drug enforcement unit of the Limay municipal police station led by Duran in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency conducted the buy-bust operation at 9:40 in the evening. 

Duran said suspect was arrested after handing to a police poseur-buyer a medium size transparent plastic sachet believed to contain shabu in exchange for P2,000 (marked buy-bust money).

During the conduct of protective search, two large size plastic sachets of suspected shabu and one .38 revolver with five live ammunitions were recovered from the suspect.

Police estimated the total street value of the illegal drugs confiscated weighing more or less 50 grams at P400,000. 

The suspect faces cases for violation of Section 5 and 11 of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act,  RA 10591 (illegal possession of firearms and ammunitions) and violation of Omnibus Election Code.
