TARLAC CITY (PIA) – About 30 residents of Camiling benefitted from the skills training of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Tarlac.

The town’s youth, persons with disabilities, and social workers took part in the Entrepreneurial Mind-setting Seminar and Skills Training on Chips Making.

DTI OIC-Provincial Director Florencia Balilo said the activity aims to increase the number of micro, small, and medium enterprises who play an important role in the country’s economy.

It pursues to impart entrepreneurial know-how among the participants, teach them new skills that they could utilize as a source of income, and encourage them to invest in business.

“We chose processing of chips because it does not require a lot of investment since the raw materials are affordable and readily available. The utensils needed are also simple and can be found in their own kitchen,” Balilo furthered.
