ANGELES CITY — Mutya Ning Angeles 2022 Jhoanne Marie Thornley is setting a stellar example by promoting Gawang Angeleño products.

Thornley, as the reigning MNA, is an avid supporter of local stuff, talents, and places — sharing the advocacy of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. to boost the city’s One Town One Product store.

Lazatin thanked Thornley for her support to the city’s OTOP store, pushing for ‘Pasal-One, Angeleño Pa’.

In her recent photoshoot with GFP Productions, Thornley was seen posing with the products of the 18 OTOP member-merchants.

Thornley was with Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, Angeles City Economic Development Investment and Promotions Officer-in-Charge Irish Bonus-Llego, Angeles City Tourism Office Head Anneleen Antonio-Sugui, renowned designer Frederick Policarpio, and Poklong Guina during the said photoshoot.

Thornley said her vision of  supporting Gawang Angeleño products is aligned to what the administration of Mayor Lazatin is currently undertaking in the city.

“It is delightful to know that our small businesses in the locality are receiving benefits thru the efforts of the administration of Mayor Lazatin,” Thornley said.

“They are being afforded with sustainable livelihood through our OTOP store, and other avenues to showcase their world-class products,” Thornley added.

Aside from the OTOP promotion, Thornley also expressed her support to the establishment of the city-run cafe Kapebaluan.

The OTOP store which is located at Barangay Sto. Rosario, near Museo Ning Angeles, is being supervised by Calaguas and Manuel, managed by the ACEDIPO.

To recall, Mayor Lazatin ordered the OTOP’s immediate reopening in 2020 and waived its ₱500 administrative fee to the member-merchants.
