MARIVELES, Bataan — GNPower Dinginin Ltd. Co (GNPD) truly makes its commitment to the environment. With that, the company participated in the 24th Philippine Coal Plant User Group (PCPUG) forum with the theme “Philippine Coal Plants: Coping with Climate Change” last week, at Seda Vertis Hotel in Quezon City.
The event was attended by 19 coal power plants throughout the country and 270 individuals, all of whom shared the same goal of finding ways to mitigate the impact of coal power plants on the environment.
GNPD is a 2×725 MW (gross) coal-fired power plant in Mariveles town which is considered by far the biggest coal-fired power plant in the country today, spanning 30 distribution utility contracts and two retail electricity suppliers.
GNPD operates under the private limited partnership of AboitizPower’s Therma Power, Inc., Ayala Corp.’s AC Energy Holdings, Inc., and Power Partners Ltd. Co.
GNPD is a prominent player in the Philippines energy sector, operating the country’s largest coal-fired power plant. The company shares the use of advanced technology in its coal power plant operations.
GNPD’s state-of-the-art facilities and innovation allow for more efficient and clean energy production. This results in lower emissions and a reduced impact on the environment.
The company gave emphasis to its efforts toward reforestation initiatives and corporate social responsibilities. As well, recognizes the need to balance energy production with environmental protection. As such, it has implemented programs that help the environment and the community.

GNPD has fueled community programs that aim to contribute to the environment’s cultivation. These programs include initiatives to promote reforestation, waste management, and environmental conservation.
