ANGELES CITY—Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. begins the house-to-house distribution of ₱1,000 cash assistance, five kilos of rice, and 3-month supply of Vitamin C supplements to 202 registered solo parents from the city on March 1, 2023.
This initial distribution covers Barangays Amsic (78 beneficiaries); Anunas (96); and Agapito Del Rosario (28).
“Kaisa po ninyo ang lokal na pamahalaan sa pagsisikap ninyong maitaguyod ang inyong mga anak,” Lazatin said to the benefeciaries.
The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), led by Edna Duaso and Solo Parents Affairs Focal Person Rebecca Peñaranda assisted Mayor Lazatin during the distribution.
2,500 registered solo parents in the city are set to receive assistance from the city government as transpired in a recent meeting presided by Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, together with Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, CSWDO Admin Head Chrysalene Cunanan, and Gender and Development (GAD) Officer-in-Charge Mina Cabiles.
The updated and organized database ofsolo parents in the 33 barangays of Angeles City was utilized to ease the distribution process.
It could be recalled that from 2020 to 2022, indigent registered solo parents also received ₱1,000 cash aid from the city government.
