CABANATUAN CITY – “To continuously work in unity, with dedication and commitment to support the agency attain its goal to promote inclusive growth.”

Thus, officials and employees of the National Irrigation Administration – Upper Pampanga River Integrated Irrigation System on Jan. 9 renewed their commitment for 2023 adhering to the theme “NIA Para sa Progresibong Pilipinas.”

Engr. Rosalinda B. Bote, UPRIIS department manager, led the ceremonies where employees marked colors of their choice on the NIA Gratitude Wall, expressing individual and collective thankfulness on being part of the NIA family.

“NIA has made a difference in our lives, let us learn to count these blessings… Let us feel the message it transcends, that with what we are grateful for, in being a part of this agency, it moves us to work together as ‘One NIA,’ and unite to achieve success. Our ‘Thank You Irrigation’ act symbolizes both unity and gratitude to NIA,” Bote said in her message ushering the new year.

She explained that by choosing colors and marking on the gratitude wall, each personnel created a “unique masterpiece.”

Without each one’s mark, the obra maestra that was unique to UPRIIS, called “Agyamanak iti Padanum” (Thank you, irrigation) will never be formed, she noted.

Color representations were: blue for salary and benefits; red for love and romance; yellow for friendships and connections; green for opportunities and experiences; and orange for honor and recognition.

Through the NIA Gratitude Wall, the employees were able to express and showcase the things that they are most grateful for to the agency, said Bote.

The UPRIIS top management officials encouraged all employees to adhere to the agency’s desire to promote the inclusive growth of our nation.

In return for the blessings they receive from NIA, the employees vowed to continuously work with unity, dedication and commitment to support the agency in the attainment of its mission, vision, goals and objectives and to revitalize the country’s irrigation.
