CABANATUAN CITY – Power outages hit Nueva Ecija due to damages in lines, poles and related structures caused by Typhoon Karding Sunday night.
In an advisory, the Cabanatuan Electric Corp. (Celcor) which distributes electricity to this city, said that a survey conducted by its crew showed “several power lines, poles and other related structures were damaged by the typhoon."
"Transmission lines managed by the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines were also damaged. This will also affect our timeline for power restoration," the Celcor said.
"We shall give further updates when the situation demands," it added. "Rest assured that we are doing our best to bring back the electricity supply as soon and as safe as possible."
The Nueva Ecija Electric Cooperative 1 which serves several municipalities in southern portion of the province also reported that restoration activities were ongoing.
