Tarlac police chief Senior Supt. Alex Sintin said among those arrested was Dolores Macali Cunanan, 54, known in
the local shabu underworld as “big mama”, listed No. 2 in the Top 10 drug personalities in Tarlac province.
Sintin said the raid was based on six warrants of arrest issued by Judge Ramon Pamular of the Cabanatuan City Regional Trial Court, Branch 32 against suspected illegal drugs dealers believed to be holed up in the six houses.
The suspects were allegedly also operating in Cabanatuan City.
Sintin identified some of the others who were arrested with Cunanan and also named in the court order like her as Romy King Pineda, Marvin David Faustino, Randy Espino Capis, Noli De Vera Cortez and Amy Tiglao Yalung.
One Paul Reynier Castro was also nabbed at the house of Cortez, but he was not covered by the court order.
Thirteen others were also arrested, but their names were not immediately disclosed.
A total of 17 sachets of shabu and various drugs paraphernalia were confiscated.
“The operation was in accordance with the allout war against drugs directive of Police Regional Director Chief Supt. Rudy Lacadin”, said Sintin.
“We asked the assistance of other law enforcement units to ensure the success of the serving of the six warrants of arrest,” he added.
The raiding team was also composed of personnel from the Tarlac Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), the Constabulary Highway Patrol Group (CHPG), and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI-Tarlac).
