TALAVERA, Nueva Ecija – For six liters of diesel, a company driver and his helper are now facing criminal charges lodged by their employer before the Nueva Ecija provincial prosecutor’s office.
Police investigator SSg Marpaul Dulay said suspects Carlo Ramento, driver, and Angelo Isugan, helper, both 21-years-old, of AWY Agri Center Corp. here, were arrested and turned over to the police by their employer Bryan Angelo Wy, 35, of Barangay Castellano, San Leonardo town at about 9:30 p.m. on Sunday. Investigation disclosed that the suspects allegedly “extracted six liters of diesel from the delivery truck” owned by Wy and sold it to someone at a total price of P350 along Maharlika Highway in Barangay Dinarayat of this municipality at about 4 p.m. on the said day.
The theft was allegedly witnessed by Wy’s brother-in-law Riniel Bert Dy, investigation disclosed.
Police said the suspects were on their way home after delivering agricultural supplies to a client when the incident occurred, it was also learned. “The complainant decided to file a case against the suspects,” police added.
A case of qualified theft is being leveled against the duo.
