ANGELES CITY– Almost the entire province of Tarlac and two towns in Nueva Ecija are slated to experience power outage lasting from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, he National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) said yesterday.
NGCP regional communications officer Ernest Vidal said the outage would be to “facilitate annual preventive maintenance of power transformers and associated power equipment, alignment of the Concepcion- Camiling disconnection switch and hotspot correction of the transformer’s disconnection function.”
The areas affected are served y the Tarlac 1 Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Tarelco 1) and the Tarlac Electric, Inc. (TEI). Vidal identified the affected areas as Tarlac City, San Manuel, Moncada, Paniqui, Anao, Gerona, Ramos, Pura, Sta. Ignacia, Victoria, San Clemente, Mayantoc and, Camiling in Tarlac, and Nampicuan and Cuyapo in Nueve Ecija.
He said normal operations will “immediately resume after work completion” even as he advised the consumers to “take
the necessary preparations and precautions for the scheduled power interruption.”
