SUBIC, Zambales — Four drug suspects, including an allegedly notorious drug den operator, were arrested by joint operatives of PDEA-Zambales, Zambales police provincial drug enforcement and intelligence units, 2nd provincial mobile force company, and the Subic police inside a makeshift drug den following a buy-bust operation in Barangay Matain here on May 22.

A police poseur-buyer was able to buy sachet of shabu amounting to P500 from one of the suspects, prompting the raid.

Police identified the suspects as the alleged drug den maintainer Edsil Salvo y Clutaryo @Jun Mata, 56, of Purok 3B, Barangay Matain; Edgar Gallardo y Tababa, 44, of San Pablo, Castillejos, Zambales; Roel Tabajo y Perolino, 30, and Cristalen Bestudio y De Ocampo, 27, both of Lower Kalaklan, Olongapo City.

Police said Salvo is included in the PDEA-PNP target list of drug personalities and tagged him as a high-value target.

Recovered from the suspects were five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing more or less 15 grams amounting to P103,500, assorted drug paraphernalia and the marked money.

The suspects face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
