CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda issued Executive Order 16-2022 – “Implementing the directives of the President and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. to e-Sabong operators to shutdown all gaming websites and cease gaming operations.”
Dated May 4, 2022, the EO enjoins all mayors and barangay chairs of Pampanga’s component cities and municipalities as well as the police and other law enforcement agencies to ensure the implementation of the order.
“Any violation of this Order shall be delth with and prosecuted in accordance with the Revised Penal Code and other specific laws and ordinances,” the EO said.
It can be recalled that immediately prior to the presidential directive, Pineda made a public appeal to President Duterte to shutdown e-Sabong operations, if PAGCor could not effectively regulate it.
