The SM Foundation Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan Farmers’ Market Day at SM malls link local farmers to local markets to sell fresh and affordable produce

From providing farmer’s training to opening farmer’s market, SM Foundation Inc.’s (SMFI) Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan (KSK), a multi-stakeholder project, will shift its activities in helping its farmer graduates by providing market exposure through pop-up booths at SM Malls.

KSK on Sustainable Agriculture Program aims to bring sustainable farming technologies and training in both rural and urban communities to help farmers bring food on their table while creating economic opportunities for them.

“The program does not end on the graduation, rather it’s the start of the continuous support”, says SMFI AVP Cristie Angeles.

With over 26,776 farmers trained in high-value crops all over the country, the scholarship program continues to enhance farmer’s skills by encouraging them to become entrepreneurs amidst economic challenges, changing weather conditions, and limited planting space and resources.

KSK farmers are delighted to sell their harvested organic and semi-organic fruits, vegetables and root crops every Friday at SM City Tarlac Farmer’s Market located at the Second Floor of the mall.
