BALANGA CITY — Bataan has attained 77.27 percent of its general and pediatric population fully vaccinated against the coronavirus disease as of Monday, per report of the provincial health office released on Tuesday.

This percentage corresponds to 554,033 individuals who have received complete vaccination out of 594,632 under the general (18 years old and above) and pediatric population (12 to 17 years old).

Record also showed that 93.18 percent or 554,033 individuals have received the first dose with 137,721 waiting for the second dose.

PHO reported that 1,039,039 vaccine doses have so far been administered that included 25,290 booster shots given to eligible adult population.

Albert Garcia said.

The governor said Bayanihan Bakunahan Parts 1 and 2 with the provincial government giving incentive of five kilos of rice to every individual vaccinated under the program Handog sa Bakunadong Bataeno was successful.

He thanked the healthcare workers and volunteers deployed in 29 vaccination sites in 11 towns and one city and the Vax on Wheels for their services and dedication and residents who answered the call for vaccination.
