LIMAY, Bataan — Young activists in Bataan on Saturday showed through mural painting their desire for a clean environment while asking for climate justice.

Jochelle Magracia, 18, spokesperson of Young Bataenos for Environmental Advocacy Network (Young Bean), said they conducted a mural painting of the portion of the wall fencing the Limay Elementary School here as a form of “artivism”.

“This is to show that we are one with the ongoing conference of parties (COP26) of the United Nations Framework on Climate Change Convention in Glasgow, United Kingdom,” the youth leader said.

Magracia said that the green pieces they were doing at the Limay school was in partnership with the Nuclear Free Bataan, Coal Free Bataan Movement and Greenpeace Philippines.

She said their theme is “pangarap hindi panaginip” that will be seen in the mural they were doing to show the present problems faced by the environment and why it is being endangered.

She said that similar activities afre being undertaken in Tacloban City, Leyte, Marikina City, and the National Capital Region.
