IBA, Zambales — Two suspected drug peddlers were arrested by the police in a buy-bust operation in Candelaria town Wednesday afternoon.
In a report to Zambales police director Col. Romano Velayo Cardiño, the suspects were identified as Rodel Elemento y Edaño, 61, and Darwin Cruz y Banal, 40, both residents of Aurora Street, Purok-Paraiso, Barangay South Poblacion, Masinloc.
The report said police operatives led by Candelaria police chief Lt. Pablo G. Agabbao and Lt. Nino Opinga of the provincial drug enforcement group arrested the suspect at about 3:50 p.m. selling a sachet of shabu worth P500 at Purok- 3, Barangay Dampay, Candelaria.
Confiscated from suspects were a total of 17 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing more or less 11.2 grams with an estimated market street value of P76, 160.
The arrested suspects are now in the temporary custody of Candelaria Police Station facing charges for violation of RA 9165.
