SM mobilizes Operation Tulong Express (OPTE) to provide aid to typhoon victims

Balanga, Bataan Mayor Francis Garcia all smiles while receiving  the Kalinga  packs from SM City Bataan asst. mall manager Jhoan Gatdula. The 600 relief packs will be distributed to families affected by typhoon “Fabian”.


 

Many of those severely affected by the typhoon “Fabian” are still trying to rebuild their lives and with the declaration of new quarantine status, life is more challenging for people in ECQ areas. To help fast-track recovery, SM Foundation, Inc. and SM Supermalls through Operation Tulong Express(OPTE) donated Kalinga Packs to LGU  of Balanga and Dinalupihan Bataan and Olongapo City. This activity was done jointly with SM City Olongapo Central, SM City Olongapo Downtown and SM City Bataan and the local government units.

Dinalupihan, Bataan Mayor Angela “Gila” Garcia received the Kalinga packs from SM Foundation through Jhoan Gatdula, SM City Bataan asst. mall manager. 
SM City Olongapo Central Asst. Mall Manager Ariel Ferrer handed over the Kalinga packs to Brgy. East Tapinac Chairman Dante Hondo.
Ms. Chao Chua, asst. mall manager of SM City Olongapo Downtown carries Kalinga pack with the rest of mall volunteers to be turned over to Barangay Pagasa.

Balanga City Mayor Francis Garcia expressed gratitude to SM for receiving 600 relief packs to be distributed to affected families. Dinalupihan Bataan, Barangays East Tapinac , Kalaklan and Pagasa were among the recipients of the relief packs.

To fulfill its “Supporting Communities” promise, SM Foundation serves communities through outreach initiatives like this, as well as provide customers nationwide with relevant and helpful services.
