ZARAGOZA, Nueva Ecija – A 19-year-old man was arrested for a non-bailable offense of rape in Barangay Poblacion West here on Tuesday, police said.
Major Jaime Ferrer, town police chief, said suspect Samuel Cabanatan of the said village was nabbed on the strength of an arrest warrant issued by a Tarlac City court on Criminal Case No. 11871-2021.
The suspect was ranked no. 3 in the municipality’s most wanted list, Ferrer said.
The suspect did not resist arrest, he said.
Jailed, Cabanatan denied the charges adding he did not go into hiding since he filed a counter-affidavit.
Ferrer said police are running after all persons with pending warrants under the PNO’s so-called manhunt charlie.
