IBA, Zambales — After nine years in hiding, the most wanted person of Polangui, Albay was arrested joint operatives of the Subic and Polangui police stations in Barangay Matain, Subic Tuesday.

In his report to Zambales police director, Col. Romano Velayo Cardiño, Subic police chief Major San Juan Felmar Aquino said suspect Irvin Bobis y Cilo, 45, of Barangay Matain, was apprehended by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Edwin C Ma-alat of RTC-Branch 14, Ligao City, Albay dated July 16, 2012 for the crime of two counts of rape with no bail recommended, and an alias warrant issued by Judge Alben C Grabe of RTC-Branch 12, Ligao City dated Aug. 10, 2012 with no bail recommended.

Investigation revealed that Bobis immediately went into hiding in Zambales after he was accused for raping a girl in Barangay Lidong, Polangui, Albay sometime in January 2012.

Cardiño commended the policemen for “bringing justice to the victim and her  family” and “sending a clear message to all criminals that the Zambales PNP is intensifying and will continue to expedite arrest among wanted persons even in areas under the strict community quarantine.”
