BACOLOR, Pampanga- Three tattoo-marked male bodies were found by the police at a section of the anti-lahar megadike in Barangay San Isidro in this town at about 6:45 a.m. yesterday.
While the tattoos of the three indicated full names, Pampanga police chief Senior Supt. Keith Ernald Singian said that probers have yet to ascertain their identities.
Singian cited police reports saying the heads of the victims were wrapped with masking tape and their hands tied at their backs. They all bore gunshot wounds in their heads and torsos.
He said that local folk reported hearing gunshots emanating from the site shortly before the bodies were found, but lack of bloodstains indicated that the victims might have been killed elsewhere and merely dumped at the megadike.
“The suspects fired shots perhaps to scare off residents so they would not get in their way of their escape,” Singian said.
Singian said that one body was found by local folk near San Isidro’s boundary with Barangay Alasas in San Fernando, while the two others were located some three kilometers away at the eastern side of the megadike.
The provincial police scene of the crime operatives team led by Senior Inspector Angel Timario went to the site after receiving the report from the residents.
Timario said in his report that the first victim was from 35 to 40 years old, medium built, had short straight hair, five feet and six inches tall, fair complexioned. He was wearing a light blue shirt and maong pants.
“Tattoo on right shoulder indicated ‘bobot f. guzman’, ‘jhozel’ and a drawing of Bugs Bunny,” the report said.
The report noted that the bodies of the two other victims were found three kilometers away. Empty shells from a caliber .45 pistol were found near the bodies, Singian said.
One of the two was about 35 to 40 years old, medium built, wore a red and black T-shirt and rubber shoes. He sported a tattoo indicating the name “Roger Pablito Bautista” and a drawing of Jesus Christ and a flower.
The third victim was about of the same age, five feet and seven inches tall, wore a collared shirt colored violet and yellow and corduroy pants.
His chest was marked with the tattoo “Romy Payat” and “Thoray Bahia”, his right shoulder with the name “Cora”, and his lower chest with “Batang City Jail 32 Int’l”.
“We’re trying to find out whether the victims were killed within my jurisdiction in Pampanga. Their tattoos indicate they could have been involved with criminal groups,” Singian said.
