“Inbound and outbound mobility shall not be allowed,” said university president Edgar Orden in his Memorandum No. 2021-03-16(02) to the CLSU community.

Issued on March 16, the memorandum said the lockdown was the CLSU Executive Committee’s decision to “adopt the strong recommendation” of the local government unit through the city health office.

“Those residing outside CLSU even the ones residing in other parts of the university (e.g. Sawmill, Barrio San Juan) but outside the gated area shall be denied entry at the main gate,” Orden said.

Only personnel living within the main area of the main area of the campus will be allowed to physically report to work while the rest have to work from home.

“The unit heads are enjoined to strategize to ensure that the operations of their respective units will not be hampered by this development,” Orden added.

Residents of the employees’ village may use the gate along Bantug-Bagong Sikat Road but shall not be allowed to enter the campus.

Another gate was assigned in bringing in harvests while concerned personnel are barred from loitering around the campus.

This developed as the nation continues to battle the coronavirus disease.
