CLARK FREEPORT – A villa rented by a Chinese national at the Fontana Leisure Park here was ransacked by seven unidentified suspects carting away some P1.2 million in cash.
Police identified the victim as one Zongwen Chen, 28, single, POGO worker, residing at Villa 3418 California St., Fontana Leisure Park.
The break-in incident, according to a police report, happened between 10:25 to 10:40 in the evening of Feb. 23 and was reported around 1:30 a.m. of Feb. 24.
The suspects, all wearing black vests and reportedly armed, were able to open the vault in the master’s bedroom of the villa and emptied it of cash amounting to P1.2 million. Eleven cellphones were reported to have been also taken.
Two vehicles, a white Montero and a gray Toyota Innova, were used by the suspects in the heist.
Police are still conducting investigation in coordination with the Clark Development Corp. law enforcement group and Fontana officials.
