Vehicle distribution to barangays marks 1st working day of 2021

LLANERA, Nueva Ecija – The first working day of 2021
was marked with the distribution of barangay ambulances, police patrol cars, and other vehicles in this 4th class municipality, Monday.

Mayor Ronnie Roy Pascual said each of the 23 villages received rescue ambulance that were procured by the municipal government.

This town has 22 villages but one of them opted a road project since it has an existing rescue vehicle, it was learned.

“Napakahalaga ng ambulansiya sa bawat barangay upang  mabilis na matugunan ang health emergency lalo ngayong panahon ng Covid-19, Pascual said.

Under the memorandum of agreement signed between the municipal government and the barangays, the vehicles shall be used only in carrying patients within Central Luzon.

“Kung kailangan sa Metro Manila ay yung sa munisipyo na ang gagamitin,” the mayor explained.

Aside from the ambulances, also procured with the support of the sangguniang bayan led by Vice Mayor Frank Natividad were one garbage truck, three patrol cars, a police rescue vehicle, and one vehicle for the municipal disaster risk reduction management office.

Nueva Ecija 2nd District Rep. Micaela Violago and Department of Interior and Local Government provincial director Renato Bernardo who stood as witnesses to the MOA signing and distribution enjoined the village officials to ensure the proper use and maintenance of the vehicles.

Violago reminded them that the vehicles were procured with the people’s money.
