BALANGA CITY — The number of active cases of the coronavirus disease in Bataan continued to decrease, at 209 on Tuesday, with the newly-recovered outnumbering new confirmed cases, Gov. Albert Garcia’s report showed.
There were 13 new recoveries as compared to nine who just tested positive of the virus.
However, a new death – the 51st in the province – was recorded the same day The fatality was a 68-year–old man from Orani town.
The total number of recovered cases rose to 2,370 while the confirmed cases increased to 2,630.
The new recoveries included five from Mariveles, four from Dinalupihan, two from Balanga City, and one each from Abucay and Orani.
New confirmed cases came from Balanga City with two and one each from Hermosa, Limay, Orani, Orion, Samal, Abucay, and Dinalupihan.
A total of 26,037 have taken Covid-19 tests, out of whom 23,139 tested negative and 267 are waiting for results.
“Upang hindi na dumami ang kaso ng Covid-19, patuloy ang ating tagubilin na palaging maghugas ng kamay, manatili sa inyong mga tahanan at kung kinakailangang lumabas ng bahay ay umiwas sa mga mataong lugar, magsuot ng face mask at mag–observe ng physical distancing na dalawang metro,” reminded the governor.
